Trained as a Theatre Designer and Director in London's Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, Jing Wong has honed his music style by rich music influences in London from Blues to Folk to Rock... but his main influences are Folk singer-song writers like Nick Drake and more recently Kings of Convenience and even Damien Rice.
Jing has won awards in Tom Lee's Sound Base Acoustic Band competition 2004 as First-runner up and Best Original Song... and also HEARTBEAT Acoustic Band competition's Champion.
In the past 2 years he has been active as a Street Performer playing his original songs on the streets of Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui. His is also a Fashion Designer for his brand Daydream Nation, and do Stage and Costume design for PIP Theatre regularly.
He is now signed to People Mountain People Sea and is now planning for the release of his first album.

And so it was that he began to summon, weave and orchestrate his international confederacy of "lounge-noir" and "swamp-rock" musicians.

Mark Steiner played a well-received tour of Australia in September, 2008, including a support gig for Rowland S. Howard of The Birthday Party. Featured guest musicians included Rosie Westbrook (Mick Harvey band) on bass, Cam Butler (Silver Ray) on guitar, pianist Lilith Lane (Black Pony Express), percussionist Peter Luscombe (Paul Kelly band) and Steve Hesketh (Jet) on organ. Mark also managed to get this group of crème-de-la-crème Aussie musicians into Atlantis Sound Studios in Melbourne, to record some tracks for his new album, BROKEN.
Mark has also toured Europe with his European backing band, The Fallen Birds, as well as performed a number of “solo” and band gigs in his homeland Norway, as well as in New York City, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Prague, Copenhagen, Reykjavik and Lisbon. He is planning and booking more shows for 2009, including in Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, The Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Iceland, the U.K., and the United States. This October, he will return to Australia to promote the release of “BROKEN”, the follow-up to Fallen Birds, scheduled for release in September of 2009 by Australian label Z-Man Records.
Mark Steiner has also played support, both solo and with his band, for many artist, including ex-Swans member Michael Gira (US), Devendra Banhart (US), Madrugada (N), Rowland S. Howard (AUS), Kid Congo Powers & the Pink Monkey Birds (US), Ingrid Olava (N).

After a hiatus of 3 years, indie performing songwriter Arnold rejoins his music buddies for an evening of acoustic music performance in Kubrick. Places change, but faces remain; and tonight Arnold will bring back the songs that he has learned and created in his native city. Band member Erik Piece will open the show with an original set from his solo project.

Formed in 2007, The McCadden Place Collective is a collective of likeminded individuals with their hearts oriented around music. Members of The MPC are always open for performing opportunities for the goal of honing their crafts and perfecting their chops. They are a gigging band, they are a backing band, they are a wedding band, they are even organizers of the indie talent showcase The McCadden Place Collective Showcase Series (MPCSS). Tonight they will deliver a funky jazz set for Kubrick Friday Live.
Possibly the first "made in HK" Gospel album which features an all-star cast. One can call it the "HK's Buena Vista Social Club." Its main ingredient is gospel, but it features other genres such as jazz, bossa nova, blues, folk, flamenco, and spanish, etc. The aim to share the best of HK musicians with the rest of the world. Roger has studied Piano and Vocal at the Peabody Music Conservatory in the US, and was the grand winner (vocal) of the Hong Kong Association of Christian Music Ministry (ACM) competition in 2007. Henry is the premier blues harmonica player and bandleader in Hong Kong and Asia and was voted one of the top 40 Hong Kong musicians by Time Out HK Magazine and one of Washington’s top jazz and blues musicians by Washington Post.
The guest vocalists include Grammy nominee Howard McCrary, and HK vocalists Mimi Lo, Mimi Tang, A-dAY, Marsha Yuan, and Eternity Girls. The star-studded instrumentalists include Ted Lo, Eugene Pao, Barry Chung, Rayvaughn Convington, Roel A. Garcia, Anthony Fernandes, Sylvain Gagnon, Jezrael Lucero, Joey Villanueva, Tommy Ho and Bob Mocarsky.
The CD is mixed and mastered by David sum using Direct Stream Digital method. All of the CD's proceeds will be donated to a charity foundation for charitable purposes. The CD is due out in June 2009 and is available at all major record stores and Christian bookstores.
Kanmok begins his singing career by winning two big singing competitions; Chinese New Talent Championship & District Singing Championship. He has seen the ups and downs in Hong Kong music industry. After releasing few albums in the nineties, he retreats to the backstage and teaches in various art schools.
In 2006, when Kanmok won the Outstanding Singer in National Foreign language Singing Championship, his sister got killed by a tragic car accident. Suddenly, he knows that life is short. And he decides to get back on stage and finishes his musical journey.
After his coming back, Kanmok releases his first English language Super Audio CD and a brand new Chinese album in early 2008 and April 2009 respectively. Kanmok hopes he can share his singing experience and ability with the music lovers in different stages, and enjoys the favours of life in the coming future.
MatchBox, a band formed since 2006, which music style is mainly acoustic and unplugged, included members Lok (vocal & guitarist), Bon (solo guitarist) and Keath (bass).

Local grass root folk band “MiniNoise” has recently released their debut “So Nice”, including songs that has been sung on many street rallies. With the rustic but touching sound, they turned their fury and bitterness in life into beauty.
MiniNoise writes almost everything; the wishes from the children in temporary housing area and people in public housing estates; the remembrance of retired worker; bits and pieces quoted from a sex worker's diary. MiniNoise also feels the tearing heart of families of the workers who died in the construction sites and the heat suspended twenty years ago in Tiananmen Square -- these are the songs of the dissidents.
