 零七年八月至今年五月尾, 我們共邀請了25隊獨立樂隊及歌手, 在星期五晚上的油麻地kubrick書店給了大家一個個愉快的晚上。書店的空間雖然狹小; 隔音設備不足也曾令我們退卻, 暫停了數個晚上的演出, 我們心中卻更堅定 -- 繼續舉行kubrick Friday live! 只要多一個場地給有興趣發表自己創作的表演者, 我們相信香港將會更有趣多變。
不過, kubrick Friday live要先跟各位暫別一下,六月及七月將不會有kubrick Friday live, 因為kubrick忙著為一年一度的香港書展做好準備, 但是, 我們會在八月份重新起步, 再為大家帶來好聽好看的演出。而第五期的kubrick Friday live宣傳單張及訂票資料也會在書展期間發佈的, 大家要密切留意囉!
Kubrick希望多一點不同的東西在香港生存紮根, 那怕是微不足道。 所以, 我們邀請 您 參加 kubrick Friday live, 大家如果有興趣將自己努力的成果公告天下, 希望多點同道人知道 您的創作, 我們願意提供一個小小的表演場地, 讓各位可以分享 您的果實。我們也歡迎海外朋友路經香港時到我們書店演出您們的創作。不論音樂形式, 只要是好音樂, 我們也會給您一個星期五的晚上。 請將 您的創作demo連同個人資料透過電郵或郵寄方法傳給我們, 我們稍作甄選後便會聯絡您的。
During July 2007 to May this year, kubrick have invited 25 indie music groups and musicians on Friday nights to share wonderful music with the audiences in Yau Ma Tei. Though we are lack of space; and the inadequate soundproof system has put us on hold which we have suspended a few show, but we are more determined then - to continue kubrick Friday live. We believe that with one more venue for musicians who are interested in presenting their works, Hong Kong will be even more interesting.
We are sorry to say that kubrick Friday live has to take a short break. We will not have any shows in June or July, as all of us have to prepare for the annual Hong Kong Bookfair. But we will be ready to roll again in August and brings you better live music. Our kubrick Friday live season 5 leaflets and the ticketing information will be released during Hong Kong Bookfair, so everyone stay tune!
Kubrick hopes that more elements, even petite, will be able to root and survive in Hong Kong, so we would like to invite you to join kubrick Friday live. For those of you who are interested in sharing your music, we are happy to provide a small venue for you. We also welcome travellers all around the world to join us in our bookstore when you stop by Hong Kong. Just send us music samples with your information through email or post, and we will contact you right away after our little selection.
