A lecture, book launch and kung fu demonstration by Bey Logan.

Author, film producer and martial arts expert Bey Logan talks about the glory days of kung fu cinema, the life and legend of Bruce Lee and his own experiences in the world of Hong Kong movie-making.

He will visit Kubrick to discuss his most recent works. ’36 Chambers of Kung Fu Cinema (Volume One)’ examines 18 classic Chinese action films from Bey’s unique perspective. ‘Bruce Lee and I’ is equal parts biography and memoir detailing the long-time connection between Logan and his idol.

Bey is the screenwriter and producer of ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon II: Sword of Destiny’ and the author of ‘Hong Kong Action Cinema’ (Titan Books). He has also written and produced over 30 Asian action movies. Logan has presented various aspects of kung fu cinema at the Academy Awards and the Smithsonian.

An expert in Hung Gar kung fu, Bey Logan has an office, memorabilia archive and martial arts school in Hong Kong. He can be contacted at bey@reeleast.com.
